August has almost come and gone, temperatures have on some days been into the low 40's and the nights on average 32 to 34 deg. Very hot for sleeping Thank god for air conditioning Gail & Stuart came over to see us for nearly 3 weeks, and Dawn came for 8 days at the same time so we had a house full, thankfully they just wanted to chill out and not go too far because at this time of the year the beaches are packed and the roads too busy This time of the year we there are lots of fiestas going on with the Moors & Christians parade at Guadamar at the end of July, and our own fiesta held in the first week of August which basically saw roads closed off for a week and a disco erected in the street, music until 4.00am in the morning, very nice but not if you lived next to it.

The town hall of Guadamar |
Er.... Flowery float what else can I say |
|
This lady must of been so hot under those lights, it was already about 34 deg. that night |
After the parades there are always fireworks, of course |
|
These fireworks were let of from the castle which is behind the church you see here |
Outside disco at La Marina |
|
And of course more fireworks at the end of the week |
Cheated a little here those eyes you see are actually a lamppost which was in the way, I just erased the post |

Had a day on the island of Tabarca, where we did a bit of snorkelling |
I took this shot with the infrared function on my camera and have called it Moonbathing, we had quite a long power cut one night and being too hot inside the girls went and lay on the sun beds outside where it was a little cooler |
